Key Contacts

• Composite Panel Association (CPA) and Composite Wood Council (CWC)
Role: The CPA is the North American trade association for producers of particleboard (PB), medium density fiberboard (MDF), hardboard (HB) and other compatible products. The CPA also works with federal agencies and model building code bodies, conducts seminars to assist specifiers, manufacturers and other users of composite panels, produces technical bulletins on installation and usage of composite panels, and develops publications, videos and web-based materials to inform key audiences about industry products. The CWC was formed by the members of the CPA to broaden the base of participation in industry outreach programs. The Council's mission is to increase consumer preference for products made from composite wood and allied materials, provide a forum for the exchange and communication of information and ideas, and to create opportunities for meaningful member involvement and participation in Council programs.
