This guide was developed based on the experiences of the Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth (the Region) in developing and implementing its CMPP Project. It serves as a practical 'how to' reference for starting or building on pollution prevention initiatives in a municipality using a five-step process. This document provides examples of the some of the Region's successes and outlines a planning and implementation strategy that can be used as a guide by other municipalities and agencies.
